2011

SOUTHAMPTON  -  NEW YORK  -  THE WORLD

This week a grand total of 69 Belinda King dancers, singers and actors will be meeting up in New York City before they go off around the world to perform in over 35 different productions!

On 13th January 2011 all three Cunard ships - Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria - will rendevouz at the Statue of Liberty for a massive New York style send off as they begin their annual World Cruise.

Belinda King will be in New York to board the Queen Mary 2 to accompany the World Cruise cast who have been in the UK rehearsing five unique production shows written specifically for the World Cruise.

As Belinda says:

'It's an incredibly busy but exciting time for us as we have four casts on board the Cunard ships as well as two vocal groups on the Seabourn yachts.  What ever way you look at it that's a huge number of performers all working in our shows which is a tremendous achievement.  However I am also looking forward to the rest of 2011 - it may be a hectic start to the year but my team will tell you that there's no let up.  They are already casting for the rest of the year and will be auditioning in both London and Kiev within the next couple of weeks.'

October 2010

At last the Queen Elizabeth has arrived in Southampton and today will be named by our Monarch!  But whilst all of that is going on our cast on board will be busy preparing for their first performance as the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Company.  The entire ensemble of 5 actors, 4 singers and 12 dancers perform in the flagship show - A Slice of Saturday Night - and all of the rehearsals point to a fantastic show.  Other shows opening over the next few weeks are Sing!, Twelfth Night and La Danza all spectacular productions.  The costumes look amazing and for the very first time at sea lucky passengers will be able to purchase a programme on board with all the background information on how we managed to deliver this amazing project.
